If I was going to be realistic, I'd tell you to stick with what you're doing. Make friends. Learn to trust people. Make up with John.

You know on Earth they have something called a vision quest. There's a similar term in ancient Trill mythos, something that translates more like gateway to the mind. We used to believe that beings were made up of spirits, fragments of which would linger in a symbiont. That sort of - quest, gateway - could lead you towards what you need to confront.

I'd be joining you. Telepathically. Which is a little iffy scientifically, but maybe Iris can figure something out.

Possible lingering physiological effects. Should be temporary. On the very outside, if we're really amazingly reckless, it could kill you.

How long would it take you to prepare such a journey?

I don't know. Probably not too long. Would you rather me talk to Iris about making a drug or to that doctor that trapped us all in the Risen Empire? Or Commander Spock, perhaps?

...Additionally, I have another request to ask of you. Something unrelated to what we are discussing here.

I have begun exploring alternatives to my wormhole situation - namely, biological warfare. It's a significant leap from my normal work, but having both the time and the luxury of multiple deaths with a closed environment that would provide for few long-term mistakes, I feel confident in moving forward.

I've asked Aeryn Sun to assist me, and she's agreed. Under the condition that you are there to supervise.
