Have either of you spoken to the other before? I should find it curious if you didn't; both of you seem to be suffering from reduced or missing memories.

I believe the three of us can work together to fix our mutual problem.

[Private to Gard]

Recent revelations have come to pass in the latest Barge flood. Pursuing John Crichton has dropped in importance and now my graduation is tantamount. What is the quickest way you know in order to make this happen?

[Private to Aeryn]

A word, Aeryn.

I find it somewhat disappointing on the Admiral's part that he simply cannot trust us to speak our minds as we see fit, and must compel the truth out of us. I've done my best to be honest [where it suits him] and I see no reason to demand the same from others.

But you may ask.

[All things being equal, Scorpius is off to find John. He doubts he'll get the information he really wants from this flood, but it's a better start than nothing. So once he's let a few days pass, he returns to Crichton's room and positions himself at the doorway. Waiting.]

For all its intended power over the people it carries, this Barge is remarkably unprotected against outside forces. While the effectiveness of its defenses against an internal threat are...debatable...I have to wonder what would happen if we were attacked.

I have seen no external weaponry and with the alarming frequency of crash-landings, I have to wonder about the sustainability of our way of life.

And if there are truly no weapons capable of attacking another ship, I sincerely hope we have the shields to withstand an assault. Because clearly we lack the maneuverability.

[Broadcasted to all citizens of the Emperor is the weekly list of names and photographs of men and women suspected to be in allegiance with the rebel forces directly]

Please peruse these names carefully and report suspicious behavior directly to any officer of the law. Compensation remains generous. All citizens are expected to do their part to keep our systems safe in times of crisis.

[Broadcasted to his inner circle of politicians, officers of the law, and the Emperor's private staff is a much larger list of supposed loyalists who are suspected to have rebel sympathies]

Please keep in mind the several dozen names of new addition at the bottom of this list.

[In Zero, Scorpius does what he does best: he plans. Giving him space and time to think through what he wants and how to get it is one of the unintended gifts of his cell space, and he appreciates every moment of it.

After several days, he addresses the Barge]

A question to my fellow shipmates;

When an inmate commits a grievous crime, who is to blame for it? Obviously the inmate must share some, but what percentage is attributed to them and what percentage is attributed to their warden, who may be unfit to command them? A warden may fail just as easily by not admitting to something that could be most assuredly out of their control.

And what of inmates who aren't paired and no one has taken the time to explain to them the rules?

My apologies to Alex Summers. While it was certainly my intent to hurt him, he had done nothing to harm me and was simply in the correct place at the correct time.

[Private to Crichton]

Of course, John, we all know that you are the one fully to blame.

More like Alex will follow. You cannot hope to save them all.

In a few days' time they will be forced to release me. What has changed between the time of my entering this cell and the time of my leaving it? As a deterrent towards behavior, Zero leaves much to be desired.

I am willing to entertain ideas of a deal between us.

[Well this is...interesting.

Scorpius is unchanged, but he waits a day or two to ascertain the purpose of the flood. Once he realizes what's going on, he assumes a facade in order to best fall in line and find out important things from the future]

Is there anything I can do to assist those in need? Half this barge seems to have..regressed significantly and I am concerned for those who are spending their days in a complete panic.

My name is Scorpius. I have been on this vessel for approximately three cycles and I wish to lend a hand.

While I never much understood the point of asking open-ended questions to a larger group without a very specific answer in mind, the lack of both a warden and a daily purpose aboard this vessel compels me to seek recreation in other ways.

What makes you believe you deserve a second chance? And what would you do with it once it's given?

[Private to Spock]

I'm following up on your exchange of faster-than-light travel schematics, Mr. Spock. Are you still interested?

[Private to Crichton and Aeryn]

If I may request a word?

[Spam, Private]

[Operation; Drive Crichton Crazy(-er), Phase One. In Below, Scorpius had not been allowed to purchase and bring weapons aboard with him once he returned to the Barge - a restriction that had caused the hybrid significant ire. However, he had been allowed to bring on a collection of metal odds and ends, which to someone with his training was as good as any weapon.

In his hand he held a small, mobile device no larger than a single grape. Capable of moving about on tiny wheels of its own, it was rudimentary in design and because Scorpius had no special tools on him, could not do very much except omit a very specific, high-pitched frequency tuned precisely to John Crichton's hearing.

Thanks to Catra, Aeryn and Stephanie's communicators had already been "supplemented" with a rudimentary explosive capable of going off if and when Scorpius required it. But he preferred to keep that for a back-pocket incentive: here was the crux of the thing. He was extremely limited as to what he could do to Crichton while on the Barge, but making him crazier by degrees was becoming all too easy.

He waited outside Crichton's room - no sense in trying to break in - and when the coast was clear, placed the tiny device up above the door post. There it would sit until Crichton opened the door: seizing its advantage, the little mechanical bug would burrow into his target's room and begin its work.]

[In the time since he was released from Zero, Scorpius has been spending the majority of his days in the library. The availability of knowledge from other universes is too irresistable to ignore, and much of his time is spent cataloging facts and figures he feels may be useful to him in the coming time]

The enormous accessibility of resources even to known prisoners on this ship continues to amaze me. I wonder if I might entreat on a warden who would be able to provide a personal databank? It's far easier than writing notes by hand.

Additionally, I would be interested to learn if anyone has bothered to map out the Barge's destinations ahead of schedule, or started to plan for each flood and port we encounter. It seems to be on a rotating cycle.

And there are still concepts I come across every day whose meanings continue to elude me. I have seen...[He pauses to double-check the name he's written down] Abbott and Costello's 'Who's on First' three times and each subsequent viewing leaves me more perplexed.

John, if this data reel is any indication of your species' intelligence, I don't know whether to feel superior or afraid.

[Private to Catra]

Have you tracked Crichton's meal cycles yet?

It is my understanding that one or both of you is in possession of a laboratory.

[Private to Dean]

Mr. Winchester. My name is Scorpius. I am led to believe that you are head of Maintenance on this vessel. Is this correct?

[Private to Catra]

Growing bored?

[Private to John, visible to Aeryn]

Let us speak frankly, John.

You and I know that it's only a matter of time before I find the means to get what I want from you and get off this ship. Whether it takes a day or an entire cycle, I will extract the wormhole knowledge from your brain. Make no mistake about my patience or ingenuity, even as a prisoner who came here with nothing.

I propose a partnership. Cooperate with me as I track down a method for the removal of the chip, and I will not only cease my pursuit of you but I will also take Aeryn Sun with me when I escape. Refuse, and I will never stop hunting.

...And could you please speak to the human girl calling herself Steph? She seems bound and determined to interfere with our situation and I'm sure you wouldn't like to make her a target.

I take it by all your reactions that this is a rare and unusual occurrence.

Shame. I feel we could all benefit from a few words of wisdom from those outside of our reenforced bubble.

Very well: speak your mind. Lt. Braca, if you can hear me: report.

[A low voice, harsh and breathing heavily, is the first indication that something is deathly wrong.

For a time, Scorpius was able to roam about the Barge to get his bearings, but now his cooling suit has truly been pushed to its limits: without a replacement source, he is going to die very shortly.

It is with a heavy heart but with a fierce inclination for survival that he at lasts contacts the Barge properly, speaking slowly through gritted teeth]

My name is Scorpius.

I am - I was - part of a taskforce designed to detect, create, and use wormhole technology as a means of transporting objects from one part of the galaxy to another instantaneously.

Obviously, I have failed and died for my efforts. This is inconsequential: my current concerns are far more pressing. Soon I will die, again and again repeatedly for cycles as the Barge resurrects me only to kill me off arns later.

I understand this is a prison vessel and I am not to expect loyalty, kindness, or mercy. I would like to say I would not give it if the situation were reversed, but the intense amount of pain I am currently in is paramount to torture, and torture was never a tool I believed particularly effective. But in the moments I have had to observe this vessel and its crew, I have come to the conclusion that not all of you are the cruel taskmasters a prison barge would have me believe you are.

If there is a one of you that finds the repeated, agonized death of a stranger to be unacceptable, I.....beg you to contact John Crichton and demand of him the tools needed to free me from these cycles of pain.

John - you know what to do.
