You can't wait for your enemies to come to you and then be in constant defense against them. They will only become angrier and more determined to drive you out.

I would suggest going on the offensive, if you ever want to enjoy peace again.

Many reasons. I'm afraid I have a completely deserved reputation as an unforgiving, merciless commander of a paramilitary organization that frequently polices other species at a high cost. You can imagine the death threats.
