IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: From the end of Season 2, Episode 21.
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: So Scorpius is a half-breed alien - a mixture of Sebacean (essentially human-looking) and Scarran (lizard-like aliens) ancestry. He's about the size and shape of a human, is very pale, and has rough, scaly skin on some visible parts of his face. His eyes are blue and his teeth are yellowed and pointy.
He's never seen outside a full-bodied leather cooling suit that covers almost all of him, save for a space cut out for his face. On the right side of his head is a circle of dials and lights that, when pressed, will pull out a full cylinder that's burrowed in his brain.
•DEMEANOR: Scorpius tends to be polite, patient, but wholly intimidating. He's very precise in his movements and calculates exactly what he means to do and say before doing it. He tries not to waste his energy unless there's good reason to, and does his best not to get angry if he can help it - this is because when he becomes upset, he gives off more heat and puts himself in further danger.
His voice is very light and airy, but this is a facade: his real, Scarran-sounding growl only comes out when he's furious.
•ABILITIES: Scorpius is very strong - stronger than humans by quite a lot due to his Scarran ancestry. He doesn't have the same hard protective skin that Scarrans do. Additionally, he has the ability to read energy signatures off any person and can determine whether or not they're being truthful. Note that this doesn't even have to correspond to whether people are actively speaking lies: simply being in the act of a deception is enough to trigger his attention.
On the Barge, Scorpius' strength will be reduced to that of a human, but he'll keep his energy signature reading.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: HAHA SO.
Scorpius is half Scarran and half Sebacean. Scarrans as a species generate a lot of heat. Sebaceans are a species that are extremely susceptible to heat, suffer from heat delirium in increased temperatures and if further exposed, will suffer through the agonizing Living Death.
Thus, Scorpius needs to wear a cooling suit at all times. What this does is regulate the heat his body naturally produces and keeps his brain functioning and alert. This isn't a perfect method: on a regular basis, Scorpius needs to change out the coolant rods inserted directly into his brain as they absorb heat and are used up. He does this by tapping the electronic circle on the side of his head and opening up a cylinder that's burrowed directly into his brain. Inside this cylinder, the coolant rods are placed.
Scorpius can't seem to do this on his own: he needs the help of other people to do it for him.
•CABIN INFORMATION: Scorpius' cabin has minimal comforts, is militarized utilitarian, and is in Peacekeeper reds and blacks. His "bed" is not much more than a shelf. The room is uncomfortable but precise, designed for sleeping and maybe a bit of work at his desk and little else.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Scorpius usually doesn't fly into rages, but he can get increasingly prickly and/or obsessed when discussing Scarrans, wormhole technology, or John Crichton.
